"There is talk..."
"It is likely......"

Nothing firm there, at all.

Yes, Emmie, I think you are right. But she wouldnt be giving up her sworn duty if Charles becomes Regent. She would still be Queen. A Regency can be much more "make it up as we go along" than if the Queen were to abdicate, which I think she will never do.

HM promised to do her duty till death when she acceded, I have no reason to believe that has changed. However, TBH, I think she does deserve to "retire" but I suspect this is a load of old pony.
