Documents appear to show Boris Johnson misled the public over the nature of his new Brexit deal with the EU.

Love me some Irish customs checks. Isn't that fantastic? Keep Britain British. Check absolutely every possible back door for any contraband or illegals.

I love the way people say 'Boris said such and such' as if that serves as proof of anything. It's hilarious.

"he was torn to pieces on that"

No he wasn't. Borris just said "We're not selling off any part of the NHS" and people trust him on that so no further discussion. Time will tell though.

Boris has been proven to be a liar.
if so he will be found out..

Are you being serious? Johnson was asked to resign as vice-chairman and shadow arts minister for publicly lying.

TD, by your reasoning, anyone repeating the contents of the document would also be leaking since they would be leaking it to a wider audience.
TD. //"he was torn to pieces on that"//
Read the truth of what he said and what he selectively chose not to say'

Danny, as I remember it, Corbyn did not say that the blanked documents said anything specific, just that it was about our NHS and possible agreements regarding it.

Corbyn never explicitly said that they are going to privatise the NHS.

This was all discussed in the ITV debate Johnson Vs Corbyn.
//Corbyn never explicitly said that they are going to privatise the NHS. //

as reported in the guardian:-

“The uncensored documents leave Boris Johnson’s denials in absolute tatters,” he said at a news conference in London. “We have now got evidence that under Boris Johnson the NHS is on the table and will be up for sale. He tried to cover it up in a secret agenda and today it has been exposed.”

Corbyn said the 451 pages of documents covered six rounds of talks from July 2017 to “just a few months ago”. He said the meetings took place in Washington and London. “We are talking here about secret talks for a deal with Donald Trump after Brexit,” he said.

exactly how explicit do you need him to be?
TD,You have a selective memory . in his own words:-

Dannyk13, It can't be proved that the NHS is not up for sale. Read the link you've provided. It seems all parties are directing this at the Tory party. It is not jsut labour.

It can be proved that boris is untrustworthy.

This thread is about how Boris lies, so I guess we will just have to see if our NHS is just a prop for votes.
TD //Dannyk13, It can't be proved that the NHS is not up for sale//
You cannot prove a negative.
here's a statement on Mr Corbyn's own website:-
https://jeremycorbyn.org.uk/articles/jeremy-corbyn-my-statement-on-privatisation-failing-our-most-valued-national-institution-the-nhs/
which is a bit rich coming from him when the most NHS-crippling policy ever instigated was conceived by his own party. The NHS is still paying for that one.

Time can prove all. I've no doubt Conservatives will win the General Election. Lets see what happens then.

Boris has promised to be out of the EU by the end of January.

Members on this site in favour of the blue party have stated that when boris wins the general election, he wil try to popose a new deal because the one he currently has, puts a hard border in Ireland.

I personally think Boris won't go for a new deal. The one he has is "oven ready" approed by his entire party. Well, that's what boris actually says.

Are blue voters on thsi site even aware of what Boris plans to do early next year? It seems not. Yet they argue for his status. Ironic it seems. Head in sand vibes.
TD, Maybe the 'blue voters' ,may not know what Boris will do but they sure know what Corbyn would do i.e bankrupt the country and allow immigrants to flood in.

Is that true though? I doubt it. Have labour said or implied they will spend more thant 700 billion pounds? I doubt it. And that's how muc hhthe gov gets to play with, which increases each year.

https://news.sky.com/story/this-could-be-the-most-significant-leaked-document-of-the-campaign-11879552

Here is the other side of the stoy. Boris denys the report to be true despite even reading it.

From the SKY article.

"It reveals for the first time that not only will there be customs declarations on goods going from Northern Ireland to Great Britain - something that Brexit Secretary Steve Barclay confirmed but Boris Johnson denies - but also there may be checks for goods going in the other direction, from the British mainland to Northern Ireland. This is a further new significant border in the Irish Sea which the DUP will recoil from."

How interesting.
He said in October there will be checks on goods moving between Ulster and Great Britain. He appears to have a poor memory about certain things...

Corby, like all politicians he is at liberty to change his mind.
Question Author
The deal is the deal. It's not Boris changing his mind, it's him forgetting what's in the deal.
