// Ernest Walter Saunders (born 21 October 1935) is a British former business manager, best known as one of the "Guinness Four", a group of businessmen who attempted fraudulently to manipulate the share price of the Guinness company. He was sentenced to five years' imprisonment, but released after 10 months as he was believed to be suffering from...

Total sham - the guy will be prancing about like a 2 year old if he gets off.
Davebro , I agree.
He will have been coached to look like a frail old man full of remorse. If he gets off, which is doubtful, it won't belong before he has a young woman dripping off his arm and made a miraculous recovery from whatever is causing him to use a Zimmer frame .
Ludwig talks about Ernest Saunders - I drew this parallel when my wife and I were watching the pictures of Weinstein on the news on Saturday night.

I was always astonished why, upon the release of Saunders, he wasn't subjected to a barrage of tests to find out how he was cured of dementia - he was a medical marvel, and to this day is unique!
The Libyan Lockerbie suspect managed a miraculous rise again like Lazarus when, I think, Mr Salmond had him released on compassionate grounds. He was on death's door apparently but looked quite chipper when welcomed back with open arms and feted as a hero. He lived several years before meeting his maker.
hi retro - you and your frenz were not silent when Megrahi didnt ddrop dead on the airport tarmac
In fact he had been examined by Carol Sikora - [man prof and oncologist of the Royal Marsden] who was asked to account for this Lazarus transformation and said basically
he has metastases from ca prostate and will die from it

he did
// Ludwig talks about Ernest Saunders//

anyone remember when? - depression as pseudo dementia was the final diagnosis - the forensic psychiatrists were as possed as anyone and said it had set back psychiatric practice in the law courts by about ten years

the mad doctors would say - look X is clearly mad
and the juries would choris - oh no they arent !

we havent punished madpeople who have done bad things for at least 150 but hell we had a good go after saunders
one hundred and fifty years

harvey W as a good actor
not as good as the actresses outside !
Looks like he’s going for the sympathy vote. ‘How can that poor, ill old man have sexually attacked women?’

Reminds of Oscar Pistorius wearing a ratty old vest and shorts, walking on his stumps in court.
the best performance of an actress in these circumstances is said to be 1958
when Lana Turner appeared in court in the matter of the murder of Tomy Stompanato - who had been butchered by her daughter cheryl crane ( acquitted I think)
oh or
oscar wilde
but he went down .... pun intended
Some ailments strike so suddenly...
o mi god I am not saying he has Ebola
Agree with Ludwig. I also think the zimmer frame is a stage prop and will be discarded should he be found not guilty. He didn't show ant need of it until his trial started.
Uncanny isn’t it.
"The Libyan Lockerbie suspect managed a miraculous rise again like Lazarus ..."

That will be the 'suspect'' Megrahi, who was found guilty in the Lockerbie bombing and spent over 8 years in prison which he left alive, unlike Lazarus.
