According to MSN, he's asked for his promotion to Admiral be deferred until he resumes Royal duties. He would have been granted this promotion on his 60th birthday. Probably knows just how much more flak he would get if the promotion went ahead.

Difficult one. There are no convictions for anything illegal but there is documentary proof of his indiscretions. Couple that with the fact he has stepped down and has refused promotion to Admiral then no flags should be flown.

Of course, if I had my way the whole ruddy lot would be thrown off the tax payers payroll. Except for maybe the Queen, support her untiul she has gone then thats it.
