New £20 Note
With the new £20 note being launched today, I wonder how often and why/where do people still use cash?

The other day a young friend transported some furniture to us in his van and we thanked him with cash. Would be difficult with a credit card. The dog groomer gets paid cash. Apart from that I can think of many occasions where cash comes in handy. Can you imagine giving a young child some pocket mone with a credit card?
Cheques are still around, in 2018 there were 400 million processed in the UK. To all those who only use credit cards, see how handy they are if anything goes wrong. A problem arose with a card I had and it took me twenty minutes to get past a computer and finally speak to a human, after five minutes I preferred dealing with the computer.
