To stab a man in his seventies as he prays is the height of cowardice, thank goodness his injuries are deemed non life threatening - more luck than judgement there.

Casual far right terrorism.
TheDevil - // Casual far right terrorism. //

I don't think terrorism where violence occurs is ever 'casual'.
Question Author
I'm a bit surprised I was the one to bring this to AB. Usually the news nuts love a bit of terrorism to discuss.
Given the injuries(non life-threatening) and number of victims(1) I don’t think this in quite the same ball park as last night nor what happened in New Zealand last year.

I’ll reserve judgement until I find out the ethnicity of the attacker.
I'm a bit surprised you actually added a link.
Stabbing in London. Only one today? Why would you comment on this incident? According to you the stabbing in London is totally exaggerated and you would feel perfectly safe there.
Nine dead in Germany is more of a discussion point. Stabbings?. Two a penny.
A violent incident is reported in the press. Immediately people jump to conclusions. Can't we leave it to the police and courts to sort it out?
Latest live report from BBC says the assailant has been a regular at the mosque over the last 6 months.
the attacker is described as a white man in a red hoodie.

"Nine dead in Germany is more of a discussion point."

Ahh Retro! Don't fall sucker to the idea that because something worse is happening somewhere that it takes away from incidents elsewhere.

If you only wish to discuss the 9 dead in Germany, then that's totally at your discretion.
TD //Casual far right terrorism// Why are you jumping to conclusions? Were you there; did you actually witness it?

//Ahh Retro! Don't fall sucker to the idea that because something worse is happening somewhere that it takes away from incidents elsewhere. //
Oh believe me I don't. I have already posted on the massacre in Germany. I just noticed you had nothing to contribute to that.
Thanks for your sanction. I did feel free to discuss it.
A 6 month ‘recce’ resulting in a single stabbing doesn’t really constitute a ‘terrorist incident’ IMHO but some do like to sensationalise certain events, given the location, especially the BBC in this case.
Question Author
As you say, I have nothing to contribute so there is no need to answer on the thread just for the sake of it.
Question Author
"Why are you jumping to conclusions?"

Oh, sorry. I thought that was 'the done thing'.

Usually when someone is leading prayer in a mosque and gets stabbed in the neck it's suspected that it is a terrorist event, rather than for example a domestic dispute gone wrong.
TD, there's a huge difference between 'suspected terrorism' and 'casual far right terrorism', your original assertion.
Question Author
I'm not sure it's even been mentioned that it's suspected terrorism anywhere.

If it's official or not, surely stabbing an old man leading prayer in a religion place (a mosque) is a terrorism act?

If it has political aim or not, it's terrorism behaviour.
TD, I mentioned 'suspected terrorism' as that's what your 17.02 post appeared to suggest. Your 'casual far right terrorism' was a bald statement, I wondered if you were privy to more information?
I am quite surprised that Mental Health issues have not been put forward with regard to this incident.
