Picking up on Gromit's and Barmaid's points, I posted a Q on Saturday about this.
I found it astonishing that on my usual Saturday morning dog walk, which is about 6 miles, five of which is on a circuitous route through a large wood, I usually encounter, say, a dozen other people, and yet this Saturday morning, the place was absolutely teeming with people. I don't want to exaggerate, but like Gromit, I reckon I passed 100 people.
So, when there's no restrictions the place is virtually empty, with restrictions there were absolutely loads of people.
