Not wanting to turn this into a Meghan thread but he has been utterly blinded by love I'm afraid (as have some of the rest of us at times), it's quite a shame that may come back to haunt him. From my experience most that have been in the forces hold it in their heart for life.
Good for him, might shut the anti royals up for a day or two

That’s always been my stance. It’s a bit galling to hear people criticise and snipe when in reality the lad served his country and subsequently served as an emergency response heli-med pilot.
The critics invariably are as ever those who couldn’t summon the courage to even walk through a Recruitment Office doorway.

He was flying choppers for the human good long before Corvid. SAR pilots always have to do some pretty risky flying adjacent to cliffs, mountains and ship's masts etc.
The cost to the tax payer of training a chopper pilot is phenomenal as they first have to learn and qualify to fly a fixed wing aircraft. If they wish to advance their helicopter flying speciality it is eyewateringly more. Good for Prince William to give something back and good luck.
