Waits all this time to be elected leader and it is buried under the Coronavirus pandemic! Hasn't taken him long though to forget his 'support' for the government and start having a go at them. Wonder where Diane Abbot will end up?

Flashed up on my tablet from Sky News.
Yes he's just been admitted
Not a surprise sadly
Not really on my part - he's by far the best of an awful bunch.
That's worrying. I hope he comes out OK.
It's a shame, TTT and Togo, that you both forgot how to read posts properly. No doubt you'll find some on the nasty left, but not here.

Our PM is in hospital. I genuinely don't care what I think of his politics. He is first and foremost a fellow human. It's sad that he ends up there and I seriously hope that the latest development is a precaution rather than a tragedy waiting to happen.
Let's hope he recovers soon. I don't like him much, but I don't want to see anybody come to harm.
I had heard the connection between him and Jimmy Saville
-- answer removed --
There is no connection other than that Sir Keir was DPP at the time and rightly or wrongly certain decisions were made.
Otherwise it makes it sound like they were buddies :-)
He was the DPP at the time of the Jimmy Saville fiasco and then was involved when others were falsely accused.Paul
Gambaccini says in yesterdays MOS that Starmer used his position to conduct a witch hunt against celecrities and he later won damages from the CPS after the case against him was dropped. He said" I have the most negative feelings about keir Starmer imaginable, countless human beings were tormented because of him and he has never apolgised.Keir is not only unsuitable to be leader of the Labour party he is unsuitable for any public position down to and including dog-catcher." I think he has a point but tme of course will tell.
I have this feeling about Kier Starmer that his Mum looked at hime when he was born and said "He's going to be a labour leader we'll call him Kier"
Ed Miliband in Sir Keir Starmer's Team , well done Mr Miliband, I am sure you will do an excellent job.
Ed Miliband is on his team? Oh dear ... not a good start then. Regardless of the identity of Corbyn's successor, I never held out much hope for change in the Labour Party.
Bit early to write it off after only two days. I was surprised to see the return of the Edinator though.
The number of days is irrelevant. As I said I never held out much hope for change in the Labour Party. Starmer doesn't impress and never did.
I can only imagine the appointment of Ed Milliband is to access the contacts and ideally middle-of-the-road support that he had.

It certainly can't be for his political skills - he has yet to evidence the possession of any!
Let's see if the country agrees with you, Naomi. What, in your opinion, would Labour need to do in the next few years to impress you?
