criminals, child endangerment, public nuisance, illegal parking, find faults with vehicles, thus have to be destroyed or repaired, then find more faults with vehicles, then crush them while they watch.

Mozz 00:38 why is Fender's suggestion at 00:26 so outrageous? Fender bang on. I've been saying for years that we should give the council powers to confiscate their Porsches etc to pay for the damage they cause and powers to move them on without hissing about in court for a week. Maybe they'd join the human race then.
Ok time for a bit of education on the 'Travellers'. Firstly they do class themselves as an ethnic minority -usually when in Court, as they are 'Romany'. This gives them certain rights which the rest of us can't get, such as buying land, building rickety stables then placing 5 caravans on the land to look after the 'stock'.
They all have either proper homes or live on permanent sites. Some of the homes would make your eyes water, as would some of the huge permanent caravans they live in. Around Easter time they all prepare to go on the road, some all summer, some just for the odd weekend or to attend one of the many Horse fairs around the UK. Appleby probably being one of the most well known. They meet up in Tribes of family members and usually stick together until they all return to their permanent homes in September. Like I say, some return to their base in between Fairs.
Not all Travellers are true Romany, but most follow the rule that if its not tied down its fair game for being relieved of its owner. While on their annual 'holidays' they leave their temporary stops in a dreadful state along with plenty of police incident numbers. We are on one of the ancient routes to Appleby and see it every year -thankfully or hopefully , not this year but it would not surprise me if they manage to get around the lockdown. We see them arrive on the moors maybe 50 miles from Appleby with their beautiful caravans on the back of low loaders, horses in £150k wagons and off they go, causing traffic jams up the A66 and thieving. I would love to say, of course not all of them are like that, but unfortunately they are.
