It will blow over in the short to medium term and Cummings will keep his job, but ultimately it will bring Boris Johnson down. He now looks like a puppet with Cummings pulling the strings. If spitting image was still around it would depict a big Cummings puppet with BJ sitting in his jacket pocket like Owen/Steele.
