Bad News For Tories.
Chaos and a car crash. Tories begin to think Boris has lost his Vim, (not that he ever had any} .
Missteps , U turns, and fears for Boris,s health, leave senior Party members openly muttering he will have to go.
When summoned in front of the 1922 Committee he was warned about Walling himself from the Party.
Throw Cummings into the mix , and he will have to go before the next G/E. I hope he does not go, because he will be an Asset to Labour .

Presumption of course being the operative word. In reality every socialist regime has succeeded, sometimes in a spectacular fashion, in making everyone worse off.
Remember this well.
“You cannot legislate the poor into freedom by legislating the wealthy out of freedom. What one person receives without working for, another person must work for without receiving. The government cannot give to anybody anything that the government does not first take from somebody else. When half of the people get the idea that they do not have to work because the other half is going to take care of them, and when the other half gets the idea that it does no good to work because somebody else is going to get what they work for, that my dear friend, is about the end of any nation. You cannot multiply wealth by dividing it.”
The Late Dr. Adrian Rogers, 1931 to 2005

//Togo; I expected a response based on the word 'presumption'. But I must say that I don't expect conservatives not to try to improve life for the better off.//
Yawn...Yes we know. Conveniently missing though, as ever, is the important bit where Conservatives strive to make life better for everyone. The marxist of course feed on, and generate envy and division. Looking to sully cohesion in society with false premise, and attempting to influence the hard of comprehension by appealing to their greed. Like all scam schemes since the dawn of time have done.

Togo,
That quote from Southern Baptise Minister Adrian Rogers is unfortunately stolen.
It was originally an anti communist quote hat appeared before that in the Congressional Record of 1958, where it was appended to the record by U.S. Representative Bruce Alger of Texas' 5th congressional district.
Alger had taken the words from Gerald L. K. Smith, who had written them first in his magazine, The Cross and the Flag, published in 1957.

Togo "Yawn" is an impolite expression, more 'ad hominem' than aimed at advancing a discussion. I'm not persuaded that conservatives have a good record at wanting to improve life for everyone. I think that their instinct is to improve their own lot. People who are not well off are probably lazy or thick and don't deserve to be well off. People who are well off (i.e. my lot) are well off because they work hard and deserve their wealth. Do you think that you are well off because of luck? Or because of hard work? Or do you think that you're not well off?
//Togo, do you ever speak politely to people whose opinions you don't agree with? If you don't then you are contributing to the world's big problem. Please think about it and let me know your considered view.//
Unfortunately, we are dealing with trolls here Atheist. They don't care how stupid or unpleasant they look, as long as they get some attention.
