I went looking for the definition of 'Troll'. Symbolic gestures, it is not the toppling of the statue but what the act represents. If they have any sense they will go low on punishment thereby reducing the importance of the gesture. The angrier people get the higher value that the action achieves. Low public reaction removes the incentive..
