I've worked and socialised with many people from those communities. Been to Asian and West Indian weddings. Am godfather to a child of a West Indian couple. I could cite other examples. I am not biased against anyone. All lives matter.
M; my dad was Welsh and my grandad Scottish (the rest was Cornish). We've got off on the wrong foot. But that doesn't matter, really, because we aren't embarking on any kind of relationship. I do like to know a bit about the people I discuss/argue with. After all, we're all human beings. Was I wrong in thinking that Mifanwy was Welsh?
M; thanks old girl. Maybe we needn't be enemies for over. At least I showed you my ugly mug (and it is a self-portrait!). Anyway, we can't hog the thread like this. I hope to be in rural France in a couple of weeks, and you'll still be stuck in NE Scotland. I'll think about you there and miss the tangle o' the Isles. Best wishes, and don't hold back your vigorous thrusts if we cross swords again. :)
Thanks, M. Avatars aren't really important; I know they can make people look attractive (God knows, that's what attracted me to you in the first place!) but it's the person behind the mask that counts (as I often say to my wife, although she doesn't agree that my young concubine feels the same way.) (By the way, I think you accused me of being Albert Steptoe, not Jeremy Corbyn.)
M; Thanks for the invitation(if that is what it was), but I don't get out much. I'm married and am working on my second novel (bloody long-winded Anthony Burgess book called Earthly Powers!! :)) So I'm not really available for naked bike rides in Brighton with rude Scots girls with Welsh names. It hurts to turn you down - I could do with a bit of excitement; but chapters 21 to 31 are waiting to be written. BTW, Leftish and remainer are right; but Tory doesn't fit - I'm a Wiganer, poor kid, mining town; can't help my roots.
