@21.27.Blooming Hell,Atheist, cycling round Brighton naked with a plump, naked Scottish girl called Myfanwy isnt a major opening of a major film or novel i dont know what is....
M 21:18. I like your sense of humour. I did earn my living as a somewhat humorous musician long ago, so I'm not a humourless nerd, and George Formby was a local lad (whoops! that probably wasn't George Formby at all). Anyway, the crossbar joke is well known - I'm sure Doddy used it - probably Frankie Howerd or Max Miller, or Ugg the caveman!!
You must lead a sheltered life.. Anything goes in Brighton, every day of the week !

Do they do deep-fried Mars Bars?
M; I'm so pleased that I seduced you into not automatically hating me and my avatar any more. If we ever cross swords again, I hope that we will do so with a bit of respect. Best wishes my new friend, and spread goodness wherever you go (snigger.....) :)))
You pronounce your name as "Miffeny" but Welsh folk don't.

There is a song called "Myfanwy" and if you listen to it being sung in Welsh, they pronounce it differently.
Corby. I think M is Scottish and they do things differently there. I'm sure she will confirm.

Oh,God,here comes the sage of pronunciation.I am an Aiberdeen quine, you are a Corby loon.Awa an bile yer heid ya numptie.
Atheist, I was joking with the Tinder comment (it's a dating app), I'm all for people getting closer if they so desire :-)

It's got Richard Curtis written all over it!

Thanks for that,Mozz,as if we didnt know....see you next week down in Brighton...

I have a cousin named Siobhan. If she said it were pronounced Siobhan I would tell her that is not the Irish Gaelic pronunciation.
Question Author
Yes,Loon,i know it is pronounced My-Fan-wee down in England and Wales, but i prefer the scottish version.Miffeny will do me for now.or would you prefer Myfanny,ya perv.
F in Welsh is pronounced V.
FF = F
I'm not a pronunciation sage and can't speak or pronounce Welsh.

However,I know that the Welsh letter "ff" is pronounced "f" and the Welsh letter "f" is pronounced as a "v".
YNNAFYMMI, you're bordering on being offensive.
I had forgotten this was in News and I am contributing to the derailment of the thread.

I will make no further comments on your name.
Question Author
Sorry,if i offend you Corby Loon, but i took it from your page name that you were Scottish, you were a young male and you were living in Corby,England.Either that or you are a luna....
It was the "perv" reference that was offensive.

My parents were from Aberdeenshire and I am a male (hence the "loon) living in Corby, England but I have not been a young male for a fair few year.
