Cynically using a massive public health crisis to siphon a quarter of a billion pounds to one of their grubby little chums (with absolutely no experience in procuring PPE).
People should end up in jail for this kind of brazen disaster-capitalist profiteering, but as it's the Tories and their chums, they'll obviously get away with it.

I'm not sure this is an example of sleaze- more hurried decision making and lack of proper checks under pressure . The desperate lack of PPE meant the government was making decisions on limited info, knowing that any delay could have meant some other country getting in first and more shortages and public criticism. Mills's interests should have been fully declared though.
