Who is this "we" NJ ? I certainly have no such expectation ( nor assumption )
O_G > "One does not abrogate border integrity in order to trade, export/import with the world."
Another vague pronoun = "One". No O-G that is *precisely* what the UK does i.e. knowingly abrogates border integrity in order to trade. As does possibly almost every nation on the planet.
The meaning of the rest of your comment is unclear to me, but I know of no body currently forcing us "to keep illegal immigrants", I would return all illegal immigrants to the country where they set out from immediately prior to illegally arriving in the UK.
O_G > "The ability to secure borders should be the present legal position, not any inability to do so."
Yes it "should be the present legal position" and should ALWAYS have been the responsible position, but it was not, and is not, and for the reasons I gave previously in this thread, will likely NEVER be.
