How thick do you have to be to maintain Jobsworthery in these circumstances? See what I mean? These ejjits are absolutely love the power they have been given. I think the bloke was remarkably restrained, I'd have decked the plonker.

He enforced the emotionally vulnerable to separate at the crucial time when a distraught women needed comforting. It was a brutal and insensitive response to a ridiculous rule in those circumstances. I wouldn’t have hit him, but I would have told him to go forth and multiply.

Warden Hodges' hour has come! (And he's making the most of it!)
Stupid rule for a funeral, I hope people at every funeral from now on ignores it .
To be fair ttt, morons in uniforms given a bit of authority have always had the power to upset people. Covid has not created that situation.

If it was me I would have moved the chair back into it's position as he said, and then just gone and comforted my mum anyway. I should think by the time the idiot had processed the complexities of that the funeral would be over anyway.

"to be fair ttt, morons in uniforms given a bit of authority have always had the power to upset people. Covid has not created that situation. " - indeed but it has given them the most enormous boost. These sad dullards pray for things like this so they can annoy the rest of us with their jobsworthery.
This lunchtime I attended the funeral of an 83 yr. old lady - but a feisty one with whom I have shared several G&Ts! Only 15 family allowed inside, the rest of us (about 25)lined up to see her coffin in and then ranged ourselves around the porch. Whoever hear best relayed the bits we heard. Inside, they had to listen to her favourite hymns - outside we all sang them heartily. There was a gale blowing.
There was no seating. I have arthritis in spine and knees (hips already replaced) and it cost me dear to stand out there. My back is only just recovering. One very elderly gentleman, who could only stand with a stick, fell heavily.

Are these restrictions worth the pain and suffering caused? Do the Hodges of this world even think about the ramifications?
You all might be dead if we go for the herd immunity option, jourdain. I’m sorry to be blunt but....
And of course we might not.
Poor family. As I said elsewhere, common sense has been abandoned.
These keyboard warriors make me laugh. Talking about decking and chinning people. So funny.
