A bit surprised that Trump's reference to his Proud Boys has gone uncommented in this columns.

Here is a taste of the 'leader' (Gavin McInnes)'s views:

"Gavin McInnes has claimed that “fighting solves everything” and in a video message hosted by Rebel Media he once boasted that Proud Boys “are the only ones fighting” the anti-fascist collective Antifa. “I want you to fight them too,” he continued. “It’s fun. When they go low, go lower. Mace them back, throw bricks at their head. Destroy them. We’ve been doing it a while now and I’ve got to say, it’s really invigorating.”

I can't link to the New Statesman for the full article (you have to be a paid-up subscriber), but here IS the full article on my g-drive:

I think it's important to understand what you're supporting, and I know there are a lot of Trump supporters on here.

''Trump's reference to his Proud Boys''

Why are they Trump's proud boys?
Roy, what do you think of the Proud Boys?
I had no idea who they were until the night of the debate.

I did look for some videos of their antics/violence or anything really on youtube...never had much success compared to antifa and BLM
Atheist, what do you think to allenlondon calling them Trump's Proud Boys?
Roy, I don't think they are literally Trump's Proud Boys. From what I've seen online, they sound like right-wing extremist white supremacists.
That's not what I asked.

But he doesn't look further than his nose.

So that ( I am watching King Tut in colour whilst reading this manure(*)) and Carter's tomb - [where King Tut is buried that is!] is not the tomb of carter or the tomb dug by carter or the one owned by carter - it is the tomb associated with Carter
hence mutatis mutandis (**)
trumps proud boys

(*) this dishwater, this runny sewage
(**) - bidda latin there just to vex the english only crazies

the usual suspects dip and dive

that one was based on Chaucer - the crazy farmers tale
I think sharing that hard bed with Antigone may be more - - - fruitful
It's been obvious for years how obnoxious Trump is. Anyone still not seeing it is a fully signed up member of the cult, and beyond help. You'll have more luck trying to reason with religious fundamentalists over in the religion section.
Fair play to you for having a go though.
Whatever Trump may be, everyone deserves fairness. The posts from the OP and those supporting him say far more about the posters than they say about Trump.
I emailed my brother and asked what he knew about them...if anything.
"Not a lot"....all he knows is that they are dangerous, and a militia group.

Shoota, prime example of PP’s deep pool of gormlessness.

In his OWN words, Proud Boy’s leader states:

"Gavin McInnes has claimed that “fighting solves everything” and in a video message hosted by Rebel Media he once boasted that Proud Boys “are the only ones fighting” the anti-fascist collective Antifa. “I want you to fight them too,” he continued. “It’s fun. When they go low, go lower. Mace them back, throw bricks at their head. Destroy them. We’ve been doing it a while now and I’ve got to say, it’s really invigorating.”

It’s all there for anyone with the gumption to read it.
Gumption? Why do you think anyone needs ‘gumption’ to read it? This is a tiny organisation led by a nutcase - who is, incidentally married to a Native American and has several children with her. Odd for a racist, eh? Perhaps like those making mountains out of molehills he’s another one who doesn’t know whether he’s coming or going. Anyway, I digress. The left have jumped on this group because there’s an election looming and if they can denigrate Trump in any way at all they will - as they always do. That’s the reality. Do try to get a grip!

And yes, I have read it. There’s …err … gumption … for you.
Pwoud, vewy vewy pwoud.
