Proud Of The Proud Boys
96 Answers
A bit surprised that Trump's reference to his Proud Boys has gone uncommented in this columns.
Here is a taste of the 'leader' (Gavin McInnes)'s views:
"Gavin McInnes has claimed that “fighting solves everything” and in a video message hosted by Rebel Media he once boasted that Proud Boys “are the only ones fighting” the anti-fascist collective Antifa. “I want you to fight them too,” he continued. “It’s fun. When they go low, go lower. Mace them back, throw bricks at their head. Destroy them. We’ve been doing it a while now and I’ve got to say, it’s really invigorating.”
I can't link to the New Statesman for the full article (you have to be a paid-up subscriber), but here IS the full article on my g-drive:

I think it's important to understand what you're supporting, and I know there are a lot of Trump supporters on here.

I had someone trolling me for a few weeks on another site with some racist, homophobic and anti Semitic messages but had no clue who they were.
Eventually they said something to imply support for Proud Boys, so I responded that I love Proud Boys and went on one of their Pride marches.
Not heard from them since.

It is claimed by Biden that President Donald Trump told the “Proud Boys” to “stand ready based on the outcome of the election.”
These are the facts, and the transcript, for those amongst you who can read and have a modicum of comprehension.
Biden brought up the “Proud Boys,” whom Trump told to “stand down and stand by.”
Biden delivered a speech in Pennsylvania on Wednesday 30th Sept., the day after the first presidential debate, in which he grossly distorted what Trump said the night before. He also delivered a similar speech in Ohio.
Moderator Chris Wallace asked Trump to tell “white supremacists and militia” to “stand down.” When Trump asked him to name a group, Biden interjected and named the “Proud Boys,” a right-wing group.
Wallace: You have repeatedly criticized the vice president for not specifically calling out Antifa —
Trump: That’s right.
Wallace: — and other left-wing extremist groups. But are you willing, tonight to condemn white supremacists and militia groups —
Trump: Sure.
Wallace: — and to say that they need to stand down and not add to the violence in a number of these cities as we saw in Kenosha, and as we’ve seen in Portland.
Trump: Sure, I’m willing to do that.
Wallace: Are you prepared specifically to do it.
Trump: I would say —
Wallace: Go ahead, sir.
Trump: I would say almost everything I see is from the left wing not, not from the right wing.
Wallace: So what are you — what are you saying?
Trump: I’m willing to do anything. I want to see peace.
Wallace: Well, then, do it, sir.
Trump: I am —
Biden: Say it. Do it. Say it.
Trump: Do you call them — What do you want to call them? Give me a name. Give me a name.
Wallace: White supremacist — and right-wing militia.
Trump: Go ahead. Who would you like me to condemn?
Biden: White supremacists. The Proud Boys. !!!!!!
Trump: Who.????
Wallace: White supremacists and right-wing militia.!!!!!!
Trump: Proud Boys, stand back and stand by. But I’ll tell you what, I’ll tell you what. Somebody’s got to do something about Antifa and the left. Because this is not a right-wing problem —
Biden: His own — his own FBI director said —
Trump: –this is a left-wing problem. This is a left-wing problem.
Biden: — the threat comes from white supremacists. Antifa is an idea, not an organization.
Trump: Oh, you gotta be kidding.
Biden: Not militia. That’s what his FBI —
Trump: Oh, really, FBI, OK.
Biden: His FBI director said.
Wallace: Gentlemen, we’re gonna —
Trump: Well, then he’s wrong.
Wallace: No, no. We’re done, sir.

togo that is a big long speech for a little fella
I was thinking of something else he said
( incredibly Gorgeous George Galloway's speech to ? congress was untranscribed. No one wd do it - so the chief exec of the shorthand corp did it himself .... I think Gorgeous George had taken off his cat suit and said to the multitude - "you say I am an arab terrorist, well here I am, arrest me")

// When asked if he would be willing to condemn far right groups the President said ‘Sure, I’m willing to do that’. What’s the problem?//
then he was asked if he wd condemn the Proud Boys and said "what do you call them"
wallace - white supremacists
and the president ( for it was he ) coyly demurred
are we really saying that "stand back and stand by" is a condemnation? - well it is AB but really !
