Religions almost all preach peace, right up to the shout of 'Charge!' Fighting in the name of a god who loves everybody. Certifiable the lot of them.

// naomi, as I said on the other thread, I'd sooner have them alive and talking.//
oh god ignore it is always mad stuff
I have to say it is probably a one-off. it wd be nice to say that sheikh loo-loo picks up his advanced crypto mobile and says in classical arabic " aqtoola - hum!" ( er oh keel zem! ) to the punter. The punter goes out and does it.
but I dont think it is orchestrated
it is more like the Brummie who butchered the ahmeddiyy in Glasgow who said "happy ecksmas my beloved christians".
The brummie didnt think he should and the ahmediyyin are looked on as heretics anyway
oh - although French media report he was an 18-year-old man of Chechen origin who was born in Moscow.

AH, //i think the link is in the nature of the Eastern male as a rule - very structured and keen to belong to something, coupled with a fierce temper and a belief that defending culture and religion is the most important thing - above life itself.//
For that to be in any way valid we would need to see similar behaviour on a similar scale from men of other Eastern religions - but we don’t. Wherever in the world these acts of terrorism are perpetrated the culprits are overwhelmingly Muslim. I added ‘overwhelmingly’ there because had I said ‘always’ there’s a likelihood that some bright spark might try to argue the point and that’s such a waste of time. Whilst it might be difficult for some to concede that Islam is the common denominator in all of this, the fact is it is. Attempting to find other reasons for the horror that’s being imposed upon this world by the followers of this barbaric religion doesn’t change that.
PP. //he was an 18-year-old man of Chechen origin who was born in Moscow.//
Be it the Chechnya, the USA, Morocco, Australia, Timbuktu or Birmingham, his place of birth is irrelevant. Islam is one.

ah, seems you run with foxes and the hounds, the west cowtows in the name of diversity makes us strong, in islam that concept does not exist, if anything..it's a weakness, isalm being a way of life, and all things other that are considered irrelevant and haram, you need to study islam and it's mindset psychologically...paradigm.

Probably because of sheer weight of numbers.
If you look at the numbers of eastern men who are not Muslim, compared to those who are, then the simple law of numbers comes into play.
I do not know what the next largest religion is after Islam in that part of the world, but i am willing to bet it is a fraction in numbers.
Logically, more numbers means a bigger percentage of extremists, and that i am sure feeds into the large number of Islamist extremists, as against other faiths.
