I'm of the opinion that 75% of people who voted, whether it be to stop in, or out hadn't really got a clue of the finer details of what they were voting for, or fully understood the basics. ( I include myself by the way), apart from the obvious. Then you have no doubt a percentage that didn't even bother voting because their to busy holding their own lives together in...

OG: "Ah, but once signed up to something, look at the fuss and claims of breaking international law for just stating you intend to change something. " - yes but new mutual agreements can replace old ones.
I await the mutual agreements for change with the EU ;-)

Teacake at 12.21, spot on. I am awarding you best Answer. Most people had not got a clue what they were really voting for. Most had just got tunnel vision.
......Immigration..... , they never stopped to check about everthing else , but they might have a change of heart come next year , who knows , time will tell.
Gulliver, //tunnel vision//
Are that would be like you and your obsession with Boris.

My recollection of the run-up to the referendum is that the then Labour leader chose not to make any comment about the issue. Even Labour supporters weren't sure what Corbyn thought, maybe that he didn't see the benefit of the EU but not being willing to articulate this.

Trouble was the leavers just let Cummings Radicalise them, and believed every word , he put into Johnsons mouth.

So all the leavers in the north and Midlands, were radicalised by Cummings? For decades neither party has done much to tackle the decline of the former industrial areas and Brexit was the result. What was Labour's industrial strategy under Brown and Blair. What was Corbyn's?
I'm a radicalised Norvener :0(( I can't help it
how many knew who cummings was?
Exactly, he belongs up here but no one knew who he was till he had his eyes tested haha
Gawd . Anyone a recipient of a gully B.A. must be underwhelmed. I would plead to have it removed .
It's strange how folk, or some of them, naturally assume their understanding is the same as most others' ? I can appreciate that many Remainers may not have appreciated the importance of regaining sovereignty, but I see no evidence that most people had not got a clue what they were really voting for. It said 'remain' or 'leave' on the voting slip.
I have looked here, there and everywhere, but i cant see any benefit to Britain in Britain leaving the EU.No redeeming features whatsoever.Even Thatcher was pro EU.Looks like national suicide to me.
