To give us an alternative and why would they do better than he and his cabinet are doing, remember it's the party and not the man who got in with a good majority

two wrongs don;t make what right.
Good luck, bobbi... I have never been able to get an answer to that either.
Although, can I add please.... that if I log on to AB early morning... the last phrase I want to see is "Boris' knockers" :-)
// what if the PM were capable of even a passable understanding of the evidence and data analysis themselves?//

he isnt - he is a classicist
we stuck with whom we are stuck with ( and not Corbyn)
thank you, i knew i had read it or heard it someplace. probably from a bio
Margie, my on-line friends feel the same as I do. I personally think allowing freedom at Christmas to do as you like is totally stupid and no doubt Boris will be blamed when there is a surge in cases in the New Year. People think Christmas is more important than beating this virus, obviously.
if we held all our politicians to such a high moral code where would we be. Santimonious nitwits thats who
just what i thought Pixie
There was a very similar question yesterday and the response by me was:

I don’t dislike him.
He had indeed had a rough deal with the virus.
But he is wholly unsuited to be PM. He’s brilliant at painting a picture of a bright future. Less good at the now.
What’s possibly worse is that he’s elevated a whole host of very mediocre MPs to his cabinet who are basically there to agree with him on everything.
The alternative would be a different Tory PM, though whether that is likely I have no idea. Certainly a few new faces in the cabinet would help, and will surely some in the New Year. Patel will surely go, Williamson, Raab shunted sideways (and slightly downward).
Gove should be promoted: he may be a smarmy git, but he's a very capable one, and we know from 2016's leadership election that he has no illusions about the PM's competence.
A high moral code is needed, and most have it. But don't get me wrong Boris is not on his own. You have the idiot still in power in the US, and another in Brazil, they continue to drop like fly's in Brazil to the point of having to clear more forest to find room to bury them. Both idiots call it a bad dose of flu.
he who is without sin cast the first stone.
Bolsonaro has record popularity levels in Brazil just now.
Because before he cut down the forest to bury people he gave the money trees a damn good shake ...
most don;t have a high moral code, that is utter nonsense
Apparently, the CIA plot to 'off' JFK was titled Operation Zipper. Every day is a school day.
Ken glad to help
// I think everyone is out of their depth on covid 19//
well they certainly are on AB - hur hur hur
BUT
1) good excuse for doing absolutely diddly squat as an option
2) clearly someone has to be right but as yet not identified
3) good reason to ignore anything you dont like
4) any disaster is certianly not down to you

doesnt sound a bad option

13.18, You must then be talking about the UK government who have given billions to private companies over the pandemic, who have links to ministers.
// No PM or Government would have done any better or any different, end of. //
