Our Friends
Whenever Boris appears on TV to talk about Brexit he always refers to the EU as 'our friends'.
When will he realise that the French and Germans have never been , or ever likely to be 'our friends'.
The latest evidence of this the French President making political gain over the latest Covid set back.
Throughout the EU's dealing with Brexit negotiations they have been out to screw the UK for everything they can. Friends do not do that.
Boris, stop calling them our friends, because friends they are not.

Brexit may be a good or a bad thing but I deplore the mindset it has encouraged among us that we are somehow enemies. Far better to be reasonably friendly neighbours bound in a common cause than backslapping buddies with nothing in common (I suddnly thought of Johnson and Trump for a moment there!)
France is our friend. Ok, that may be speaking relatively, it is true. You've only got to look at the rest of the world to see that.

Boris is so obviously out of his depth as to be a busted flush. What we need now is a leader who can get some sort of deal done and someone who can find an exit strategy from the virus.Sadly I don’t think there is anyone so Macron et al will continue to put the knife at any opportunity and the Two Ronnies of doom and Professor Legover, now happily back in the fold, will continue to pursue for greater lockdowns while the economy continues to go down the Swanee at an alarming rate.
