the deal is?

Add any 'they treated us so, so terribly' stories here, please.

This tweet is fast on the heels of Nicola telling Boris to focus on COVID, not Brexit.

// ... gets 110% of the resources of their neighbour, from their neighbour and still pathologically hate their neighbour! //

There is so much wrong with that statement, I don’t know where to start.
So I won’t.
Happy Brexit everyone, and a prosperous New Year!
I see St Urgeon has already managed whip up the Nats in to a mouth-frothing frenzy.
sunk:"There is so much wrong with that statement, I don’t know where to start. " - go on give it a go.
TTT, once Country A gets 100% of Country B's resources, Country B has no resources left.

That being the case, where does the additional 10% come from then?
ah TCL me old china, I knew you wouldn't let me down! Have another contrarian pill! PMSL. if the amount of resources given to a normal citrizen of the UK is 100 then our Scottish friends get 110% of that. geddit? it's called the Barnet formula: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barnett_formula
but of course you knew that.
Joel Barnett has denounced his own formula.

https://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/scottish-independence/11100400/My-funding-formula-for-Scotland-is-a-terrible-mistake-Lord-Barnett-admits.html

Scotland are a drain.

https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2019/aug/21/scotland-2018-deficit-higher-than-uk-as-a-whole-last-year

I'm more than happy for Scotland to gain their independence as I'm intrigued quite how they'd survive without England's munificence that allows them to provide free prescription, free university education plus whatever other freebies the English provide.
DD: poor old TCL!
You mean public expenditure then?

From The Institute For Government,

"The Barnett formula calculates devolved budgets by using the previous year’s budget as a starting point, and then adjusting it based on increases or decreases in comparable spending per person in England. For example, if spending on healthcare in England increases by £100m, the Scottish government’s budget would increase by £9.7m since Scotland’s population is 9.7% of England’s."

It's calculated pro-rata then, there's no additional 10% for Scotland in that calculation.

Also, the money is not coming from England, it's coming from the UK Treasury.
DD: "I'm more than happy for Scotland to gain their independence as I'm intrigued quite how they'd survive without England's munificence that allows them to provide free prescription, free university education plus whatever other freebies the English provide. " - the last thing Scotland wants is "independence" they just need to find someone to take them on because they hate their current benefactors!
TCL: dream on, do you really think England does not subsidise Scotland? really? hand on heart? seriously? Do you think you'll get a better deal out of the EUSSR? take your time!
DeskDiary: Don't wish to upset you but Joel Barnett has been dead for six years.
^^*your point being?
There are around nine million people in Greater London. There are around six million people in Scotland. Can't, for the life of me, understand why we have to listen to constant bleatings of the SNP. My view is that go away, leave the English alone, and be an 'independent nation' within the EU. That is, of course, an illogical absurdity in itself.
Have you given up on your 110% of the English amount due to the Barnett Formula claim then?
DeskDiary: You said Lord Barnett says...My point was he's dead.
//it's coming from the UK Treasury.//

Remind me again ... which of the contributing countries donate most to said treasury? Which of the contributors receives less back than it puts in? Does this remind you of a similar scenario? England has been robbed for years ... Time to end it?
The Tories and Labour don't even want to allow a vote on the matter. If they believe the SNP Government is doing so badly, why are they not demanding a vote to confirm that belief?
TCL 19:17, no, see my answer at 18:47.
