That is a relief. To have left with no deal would have been madness, and that has been averted.
There were many Conservative members and supporters who didn’t want a deal. I doubt they will quietly accept it. The deal might be Boris winning his first battle with the Euro sceptics, but the start of losing the war.
I doubt Farage, Rees-Mogg, Cash and Bone will be happy tonight, so that’s a nice thought.
