Muller heavily suggested that trump dangled the offer of pardons for those who refused to testify (against trump) in his enquiry. Now that has come to pass – it strengths the case for obstruction of justice once he leaves office.

Although Biden has indicated he will not pursue Trump for his criminal activity while in office – the tax investigation of his son (Hunter Biden) may make him change his mind on that.

Khandro, I most certainly do not believe ayone should be extradited in order to be tried on (your quote) "spurious charges of rape"; but, of course, the only people who claim that the Swedish women's charges ARE spurious is Assange...plus, of course, people like yourself who know nothing whatsoever about the 'private' situation that involved them!
What I wish to have seen is a court-case in which these conflicting views would be presented to a judge and jury for a decision.
PP. //this is a copy and paste isnt it?// Yes, & as you can see it's in quotation marks. It's from here & there's more besides, but the British press seem curiously quiet on this subject.

Quizmonster. As all charges have been dropped against Assange by the Swedish courts,

Why the hell do you want them re-opening. What is it to you?
The charges were "timed out" rather than "dropped by the Swedish courts", though the latter may well have been the last word in the matter.
In other words, prosecutors had only a definite period during which they could possibly bring charges and they failed to do so. This "elapsed time" system applies in more than one country in the world.
I don't agree with it. A crime is a crime and an accusation thereof should be properly and judicially dealt with...in the form of a case-hearing not a rubber-stamping dismissal exercise.
"What is it to me?" Only the desire to see justice done, whatever it turns out to be, whether that would have been "Guilty as charged" or "You're free to go" for Assange in Sweden.
Sadly, he scuttled away - just as he tried to do in Britain when he had broken our law. He will doubtless go on trying to do the same as regards the charges the USA would like to put to the test, if they get him.
I wish them luck!
Quizmonster: You don't answer my question; what the hell does it matter to YOU if someone groped someone else in Sweden over a decade ago? Get a life!
What do you mean when you claim that I did not answer your question? I most certainly did and here it is again, drawn - once more - from the middle of my LAST post:

"What is it to me? Only the desire to see justice done..."

As far as I am concerned, people are perfecly free to grope to their hearts' content only as long as it is acceptable to the gropee. In the same way, you are perfectly free to stand near me and thrash your arms and fists around until they come into contact with MY nose!
If that ever happened, you could categorically expect to face a trial!
Or would you follow Assange's example and leave the country?
Qiuzmonster, ABs Lone Ranger, fighting for justice. :0)
Oh dear! I'm very far from being "lone" in my detestation of Assange's weaselly approach to others. I refer to those such as his wretched cat's-paw, Manning, or the native people whom he endangered by publishing stolen and unredacted e-mails for his own narcissistic "glory".
It may or may not be true that out of the thousands of documents some Afghani informers lives could have been put at risk (we don't know) but what has that got to do with you wanting him to go to face a trial in Sweden for charges which on reflection their own prosecution service has seen fit to drop?
This time I'll just leave my response at, "Oh dear!"
