Did Boris say if schools are open tomorrow?? When do they close?? Also what about people coming into the country from abroad by air etc? Do they get tested when they come in? Everyone should have to wear a mask in the street like in Spain or get arrested.

I think it's because you can still catch it and pass it onto others. For the vaccinated person it may be more like a mild cold but for anyone else there is the risk of it being much worse.

jourdain, getting the vaccination doesn't make you virus proof, it makes you less likely to get the virus and if you do get it, less likely to have it badly. Given your OH's age and co-morbidities, I would say he is safer but not safe....and yes, he may also still be able to pass it to others

No UK residents hate it here. It is clear every one would sooner be here than some foreign s hithole.

Unfortunately we have democratically elected a Prime Minister and a Government who are not up to the very grave and serious challenges before us.
Boris is here for another 4 years. We cannot do anything that, but it does not mean we have to adulate him as the new messiah as half the Ab News posters do.
When he is ineffectual and late (as he most often is) it is our duty as call that out and denounce him as an imposter of a competent Prime Minister. But we still love our country.
