White supremacist Trump supporters are attempting a coup in the United States.

If it had been black civil rights protesters trying to storm the seat of US government, or leftists, or Muslims who had been doing this, they'd have been gunned down already.

But because it's white supremacists, they're not receiving such treatment.

for those asking how they got in. I may be wrong here but are they not public buildings? There are public galleries etc So there'll only be guards etc at the places where the public cannot go.

I thought the security forces eventually did a good job. The mob or some of them were trying to provoke a violent reaction by telling others to wait until the police pushed then back before moving. But in the end they slunk away like the pathetic specimens most of them are.
Their cause is ultimately doomed because unlike BLM it has no basis in reality

I agree with what canary has written... the police and national guard came out in overwhelming force when BLM protests took place, but police were seen posing for selfies with Trump's modern-day brownshirts. Disgraceful double-standard.
