People who haven't been, I don't think they realise how rural it is. Charlestown is what, 3 streets. Tubber is only one main street, which is still tiny. They have to travel to Galway or Castlebar when they need new clothes.
Now there's zero tolerance on drink driving (I'm not talking about getting drunk, you can't even have one drink, even with a meal) I suppose on the plus there's more females in pubs now picking up their men folk and stay for a cidoner or red lemonade :-)

All my enormous Irish family, including Aunty Eileen the nun, still seem quite devoted, Thought it might 'die off' a bit along with the oldies.
Never heard of any scandal. Although it's NI so they may well have had laws that stopped them sending girls down South. Doubt they'd talk to me about that sort of thing anyway.
