It sounds like both sides are having the same problem. You'd have thought that in the wake of a global pandemic, ALL sides would be willing to work together to achieve the swiftest possible resolution to the problem.

Absolutely, that's what I call a decent debate Gness
"Opinions are like (ahem) 'bottoms' - we all have them, but some are more attractive than others ... "

That's very true SD, I don't claim to be well informed , I'm not but at least I can learn and enjoy doing so ,the mish mash of opinions on here is good
//Opinions are like (ahem) 'bottoms' - we all have them, but some are more attractive than others ...//

And plenty of them come from those bottoms.
//The UK government said it remained confident that supply of the AstraZeneca vaccine, which is largely made in Oxfordshire and Staffordshire, would allow it to meet its target of vaccinating the most vulnerable by the middle of February.//

Seems to me that apart from the EU trailing way behind us in its vaccination programme, it has yet another problem. Lucky for us we’re out.
The EU has actually innoculated more people than the UK
Brexiteers showing how stupid their thinking is by expecting the EU to support us after we kicked them into touch. How naive.
If the problem is that the company is screwing the EU over, then "lucky for us we're out" seems exactly the wrong sentiment.
I don't see any Brexiteer expecting the EU to support us, Canary. We don't need their support. We're doing very well without them.

I do, however, see the ever-present sour grapes from the Remainers. Never mind. They'll get over it ... eventually.
By what measure exactly are we "doing very well"?
The remoaners showing how stupid their thinking is by expecting the EUSSR to still rule us after we kicked them into touch. How naive.
Look forward to the replies you receive, Jim. :-).
I don't think anyone expects the EU to rule us, because that wasn't what was happening before 2020 either.

You see only what you wish to see, TTT, and never what is actually there.
//By what measure exactly are we "doing very well"?// - we have vaccinated more than the entire EUSSR put together, we have doubled the about of vaccinations that Israel, no 1 per capita, have done, surely even the anti British should see that constitutes "doing very well".
Woes, frustration, deep dissatisfaction - all relating to the EU’s failure to get its act together. We’re smiling even more than you are, gness. :o)

No, Naomi. I think yours is a tight grin and will get tighter in the months to come. Keep your chin up though. :-)
You need to apply yourself, gness, and think a bit harder.
TTT
// we have vaccinated more than the entire EUSSR put together //
EU 8.8 million
UK 8.0 million

Comparing to the entire EU is a false comparison. To similar size EU countries is ,ore accurate.
UK 8.0 million
France 1.2 million
Germany 2.0 million
