Mixing Covid Vaccines

I thought this might happen in view of the Pfizer problems. OH and I had the Astravenica vaccine and have both decided we would rather not have our second jab with another type. What do others think? We have more faith in Astravenica to be honest, but I am not suggesting that we are right.

It may be that this is opening up a whole new field of vaccine use information? Adjuvants have been known and used for a while, maybe using...well lets call them bio adjuvants... might move this technology on? As I understand it, the current studies are about safety rather than efficacy. I will wait and see regarding accepting mixed vaccine treatment but I wouldn't rule it out for myself. The great thing about vaccine of course is that you don't need to have faith for it to work. :)
Woofie, It was the increased amount of adjucant in flu jab for the over 65s in 2019 that caused my delayed allergic reaction (Squalene). My GP advised me that there was no shark oil or any oil at all in the covid vaccination. I was not allowed to have the under 65 vaccine this year which I would have gladly had. So I will be avoiding flu jabs now unless I am sure of what they are putting in it.
If they prove its ok, and gives you better cover fine. But the public need to see the data, not just keep hush hush like Pfizer are doing at the moment. the latter only leaves the public in doubt, and less will be willing to take it, like me at the moment. This idea has just added more fuel to the fire.
Yes I can see why people who have had really bad reactions to anything in the past want to take more care. I too had a worse reaction than usual to the 2018 flu vac which was the first adjuvanted one....but then I tend to get flu vac effects anyway.
My view is that reaction to a chemical adjuvant doesn't suggest that the same person would react to a mixture of vaccine technologies any more than being allergic to hen eggs makes you allergic to caviar. I can see why you would want to pass on further doses of sqalene containing vaccine though.

In that case I misunderstood Apc, sorry.
As others have said it’s to soon to say.
There are still conflicting views about the merits of delaying the second. An American doctor was adamant we should be sticking to the original plan, although I’d say I’m less bothered than I was.
I wonder if we’ll put an order in for Sputnik too
