They are, it seems the most at risk yet they also seem to be most against accepting help. Surely they don't believe all the tin hat cobras do they? What gives?

That Dave50, is exactly what they will demand happens. The rest of the Country stays locked down, furloughed, or wfh to ensure that the great unvaccinated or immune are not "putting them in danger". They will also accuse the non BAME community of avoiding or deliberately giving them a swerve on sight, and it will soon be a hate crime with loverly compensayshun...

TTT If you've decided to have the vaccine, whats your problem. But while you at it can you show me were it states that you can't spread it, if you've had the vaccine. Please.

"TTT If you've decided to have the vaccine, whats your problem." - as explained if millions don't have it it can still spread and effect us in other ways, clogging up the NHS, isolated lockdowns etc.
"But while you at it can you show me were it states that you can't spread it, if you've had the vaccine. Please. " - It can still be spread until the body has reacted and created the anti bodies, up to 2 weeks according to the expert on TV the other day.

Vaccination is a method to create herd immunity.

I assume from your spurious opposition you are not going to get vaccinated?
//...there should be more awareness of this amongst the black and asian community,//

Sorry, emmie, but anyone who isn't "aware" of Covid, its effects and the efforts being made to control and prevent it must have been in a coma for the last ten months. I've really no idea why BAME people are less likely to take up the vaccination but it cannot be because they are unaware of the disease. I have an inclination to believe that many of them are simply anti-government (whatever its persuasion). There's lots of things I don't trust the government to do for me but as far as the vaccination programme goes I have no choice but to trust them. I suspect there's a lot in what Bobbin has reported. Some of it is simply religious or cultural nonsense but I'm sure there's a lot of general mistrust among BAME people as well. I don't see ant need to "reach out" to vaccine refusniks. They know it's available to them and people have better things to do than to cajole them into taking it.

A couple of years ago it was reported that few BAME people visit the Lake District or National Trust properties and so such places were seen as verging on being racist. Utter nonsense. Those places are there and are open to all and there's no reason for people to waste their time trying to persuade BAME people to visit them. We just need to accept that many BAME people simply do not want to adopt a lifestyle that most people in the UK follow and the vaccine issue is just one manifestation of that. The problems began when it was announced that all cultures would be equally embraced in the UK and those problems will not be reversed for the trivial matter of a life-saving vaccine.
perhaps i should have worded that better.. never mind.
You have no prove of anything you have stated there and you know it, You seem to know more than the manufactures know at this moment in time, may be give them a ring and let them know your findings. You can assume all you like to whether I have it or not, what I will tell you is that I'm keeping an eye on the data coming out day by day OK. My body , my choice.
TC //. My body , my choice.//
Then be sensible and make the right choice.

danny, I can assure you, I won't be looking for advice from you or anyone else on the vaccine matter on here.
Question Author
TC, 2 questions, are you BAME? are you going to have the vaccine?
'You have no prove of anything you have stated there'

irony claxon!
2 X fuzzy felt time
13.15 First answer, no, As stated before I'm keeping an eye on the data, not data coming from government.
So Teacake believes its too early to say whether the vaccine works.
And there was silly me thinking they'd had to do lots of trials to get it approved and all the scientists knew what they were talking about.
TC//Danny, I can assure you, I won't be looking for advice from you//
Strikes me that you won't take advice from anyone.Ah well, it's your funeral

Bobbinwhales, 13.23, You need to stop making false statements about what I've said.
danny I've already stated that I keep a close eye on data coming from manufactures who make the vaccine, and like you say not anyone.
Call it as it is. No justification. No excuse. They're going to infect others. Irresponsible in the extreme.
It's ironic, isn't it, that someone who makes the statement 'You seem to know more than the manufactures know at this moment in time' seems to know more than Scientists and the Govt combined.

Who's data are you using to make your evaluation, teacake?
TC it could be years before the manufacturers stop tweaking the vaccines. How long do you intend to wait before making a decision?
//Bobbinwhales, 13.23, You need to stop making false statements about what I've said.//

//As stated before I'm keeping an eye on the data, not data coming from government.//

So what data are you waiting for?
