If Iran started bumping off Israelis there would be war. The US and UK supporting Israel to the hilt. Israel assasinates who it likes, and no one bats an eyelid.

Israel has always said it would do whatever it needed to to protect themselves. They have some of the best weapons going and also some of the best anti weapon defences. The Palestinians used to throw misiles into Israel on a daily basis which Israel would destroy before they did any damage. Then the Palestinians would complain when they were fired on in retaliation. The answer was always don't send misiles over the wall and we wont need to do the same.

" - it's the muslim mentality, they'll act regardless of how much damage they do to themselves. Worse than fallout will be the retaliation from Israel/US etc which will toast the place but that won't stop them either. It's more important to attack than it is to weigh up the consequences. That's why they continue to lob penny bangers over the wall even though they know the response will be 1000 times harsher. Basically they are stupid.

And I've never understood the logic that says it's OK for France or Britain, Pakistan or Israel, the USA or India to have nuclear weapons but it's not OK for other sovereign countries to have them. If the argument is that the possession of nuclear weapons deters aggressors and keep the peace then surely every nation should have them.

The thing is that if Iran did fire a nuclear misile at Israel the chances are that it would be shot down well before it got there and come down in another country who at the moment are friendly with Iran.

Fake news is not the same as misunderstanding something.
I don’t think Iran intends to wipe Israel off the face of the earth: it would be rather foolish. Nonetheless, if I was Israel I’d be doing my best to thwart its nuclear capability. Israel is what you might call a useful rogue operator. They bombed Damascus several times during the Syrian war and it hardly got mentioned by anyone, least of all Syria.

Not 100% but they are good at defending their country. How many Palestinian misiles actually get through, not very many. I have seen Gaza and Israel and it's easy to see which one gets hit the most.

Iran’s government engages in terrorism abroad in a way Israel’s does not. I think Israel’s actions can more plausibly be seen as self defence than Iran’s. And you don’t have to be an Israeli national to see that.

Don't recall Iran caring very much about the sanctity of human life when millions of their soldiers were slaughtered in the Iran-Iraq war and they used their own children, chained together, to clear minefields. Only mention it because, in the nuclear fallout scenario, not entirely convinced the hardliners would give a monkey's.
