alas no, TTT. In fact if things had gone as planned I would have been visiting friends in NZ a year ago and would have been "trapped" there; but family illness prevented me from going and it now seems impossible.
But the plain truth is, like it or not, I would be much safer there, and so would you; you could have a beer at the pub, watch a rugby match in person and in a full crowd, send the kids to school, and get your hair cut. All possible there for most of the past year, all off limits here.
For what it's worth I would miss the BBC and NHS, Britain's two great achievements. But you can look at the BBC website there if not use iPlayer and, as I found years ago, get treated free in hospitals via a reciprocal arrangement with the UK. However, that isn't the norm, you usually have to pay to see a GP and pay for hospital treatment.
