Nurses Pay Rise
would you accept a tax increase to give the NHS staff a bigger pay rise? If everyone who clapped agreed they could pay them more but I wonder how many would actually agree to paying for it?

VAT should be abolished (possible now we are no longer members of the EU). It should be replaced with a simple end-user purchase tax (which effectively the majority of VAT is anyway). All the costs associated with administering it (where the majority of the monies paid as VAT are simply reclaimed until it gets to the end user - who cannot) can be saved and paid to health staff.
