Charlie Hebdo reserves the right to shock and outrage....some of us will be shocked and outraged.
Some of us will wonder quite what the value of shocking and outraging people actually is...
Some of us will run out of patience, or goodwill, for a publication which is determined to learn no lessons but will continue to poke tigers.....in the name of shock and outrage.
But, hey....it's Free Speech, okay?

APG - // The cartoon does not make reference to how an innocent man died - George Floyd was a violent thug with numerous convictions to his name. //
He was still an innocent man at the time of his death.
Any crimes he had committed he had received due process anad paid any appropriate penalty, and with them, his debt to society.
At the time of his death he was not charged with, or convicted of any offence, which means that he died an innocent man.

In free countries some push the boundaries to see what happens, using their 'rights' as a defense. This means the span from the middle ground to the opposite extreme are likely to find it distasteful, offensive or possibly blasphemous, though that shouldn't apply in a secular country such as France. What they don't consider is that some of their examples will move from satire to unkindness but such historically is the Charlie way. I am sure the Queen will note the comparison and add it to her huge store of information about what affects the institution rather than take offence. She seems a wiser woman than that.
Barsel - //
Andy what were they arresting him for then? //
It doesn;t matter what they were arresting him for - an individual remains innocent until proven guilty. Since Mr Floyd was not even charged, much less tried and convicted, he died an innocent man.
That is a simple fact - there are a number of people who don't like it, but it doesn't stop it being the reality of the circumstance in which he died.

Zacs, //‘ & the entire British royal family are being smeared by her contempt.’
Then how would you explain Her (and Harry’s) drop in popularity?//
I think it's in keeping with the now general UK public feeling that this couple are no longer part of that bracket.
They shouldn't expect a very warm reception if they ever return.
