don't do it, its not worth you ending up in a detention centre, which is what happpens. The country and the capital strets are not paved with gold, the covid deaths are horrendous and your chance of having it is high.

I'd say we are a tiny island and can't take all immigrants in, no matter what you might of heard ,you don't get anything for nothing in this life , stop putting your lives in danger by going through other EU countries to get here, our economy is shot through this Covid virus that you'd almost be sure to get by entering our shores illegally , just not worth it

Most of those arriving here illegally aren't coming from war-torn countries. The last time I looked France was peaceful enough.

I would tell them to settle where they are. They're perfectly safe there.

It was interesting (to me) to note that over 4 million EU nationals had applied for settled status in the UK when the official estimate of those living here was just 2 million. In some specific areas there were 6 times more than the official estimate.

If the official figure for people LEGALLY in the UK and only from the EU can be so wildly inaccurate it makes me wonder what is the true figure on immigration legal & illegal from all the world. I would guess it is far more than the unbelievably low number the gov states to try to reassure us.

It is odd that whenever anyone is brave enough to speak up on behalf of immigrants here, a typical response is: "Would you put them up?". I don't believe anyone in that camp is suggesting we should be actually having them to stay :-)

I am not sure why the question is aimed at "Blm people"(whatever they are). Obviously no matter who you are, the answer would be: "don't risk your life to do it".
However as long as there are grim lives and people traffickers to exploit that then you'll have this problem. We should stop thinking of these people as criminals, thieves and chancers. The vast majority are victims either of their own circumstances or of organised criminals. They get on their boats they look for work ...

They can seek work in any country in Europe. A pretty vast area. Doubtless there are more job opportunities available there than here.
