I fly a fair bit - correction - I did fly a fair bit before the world went mad, usually at least half a dozen times a year, and I cannot remember the last time my passport wasn't scanned at each end, whether it be by somebody in a booth or self- service, so I think TTT is right.

There’ll never be an internationally approved passport. That doesn’t really make sense
Individual countries will have their own rules about who to let in.
As for the internal thing, as previously stated I don’t think they would work. Not on a compulsory basis. And the pub idea is bonkers. So there may be situations where it will help to have some sort of proof of vaccination. But by the time it’s sorted out it may well no longer matter
