I fly a fair bit - correction - I did fly a fair bit before the world went mad, usually at least half a dozen times a year, and I cannot remember the last time my passport wasn't scanned at each end, whether it be by somebody in a booth or self- service, so I think TTT is right.

"i read this from the beginning, my hairdressers have a QR code on their door, and still he lets people in without signing in. at least he did before the current lockdown."
It shows that people are not keen with such system, people don't want to give the personal details away including where there about.

Am not sure why people are getting worked up now as nod ecisons on this will be made until the summer "He said no decisions had been made but there would be an update on the idea in April. A review will report in June."
Its not going to work on a wide scale as noones going want to faff around at cinemas, footballs grounds, raves and few establishments bother with the hassle of arguments at the entry points. Anyway it'll be discriminatry against BAME, antivaxxers, pregnant, disabled, the young and those too ill to be jabbed.
Its only ever going to be considered for things like air travel and maybe jobs in certain areas like care homes.
But maybes goverment is just flying a kite to persuade more to geta jab

Why? BAME are safer vaccinated, its a choice for antivaxxers, pregnant women can usually be vaccinated, why can disabled people not be vaccinated? Those who are young can carry a birth certificate (and probably shouldn't be there alone) and the very few people who should not be vaccinated can be given an exemtion certificate. I agree it can't work until everyone over the age of 18 has been offered at least one jab.

It's two ways at the moment, almost since the beginning establishments have used a QR code that you scan but by some sort of black magic they get your contact details in case someone infected was in the place when you were. That's what I fell foul of. The option where you would have your code that they scan could work on a print out, in the way you can print out an e ticket for travel. However a printout would be hard to check, anyone can carry a printed QR code. You are less likely to let someone to out carrying your mobile. I don't know why they don't go the whole hog and offer vet style microchips. I would happily have one. They were talking about implantable banking chips, no difference in my mind.

Because allready groups are arguing this and we know how much disruption protestors can cause. Should of added the poor as well. Indirect discrimination. Am sure Gina Miller or someone will allready have plans to challange it.
On pregnant women my understanding is there not able to have the vaccinne. One of my famly is pregnant and has been told she wont be able to have it. Has this changed?
Its just not going to work at most pubs, football grounds, cinemas, retraunts, there will be to many confrontations, protests. It may work at say theatres where you buy a ticket in advance and these people are less likeley to argue.
And its fine for things like visiting carehomes/hospitals altho again the human rights/discrimination lawyer's may dissagree

After a quick reading seems its accepted as okay for some category of pregnant women depending on other health issues and if in frontline roles but not generally.
