Well that seems a bit stupid, but I suppose with technology it's made it easier to bring in a scheme like that.
What about when I jump in my boat in Wales to do a spot of sea fishing, will I need a passport in case I change my mind and decide to go to France? That's the reason I always thought there was no need for a passport to leave.

Like Tomus, I can't see why it matters once all vulnerable people have been inoculated. We're going to have to live with it and be vaccinated every year to keep up with variations. If the death rate is something equivalent to 'flu - then I don't see a problem, we live comfortably with that. No-one asks for proof of a flu vaccination. I do see a huge problem with discriminating against people in their own country (different if other countries ask for proof of vaccine to travel there).

I have no axe to grind, I've been vaccinated. I would object strongly to having to prove this - as I would with being asked to prove I'd had the 'flu jab before I could go anywhere. It is an infringement of citizenship, human rights - call it what you will. No - not fair enough T.T.T..

jourdain this is not flu and kills many more people than ordinary flu does. Yes eventually there will be some kind of accommodation but not yet. Where there are pools of unvaccinated people who can host variants, that potentially puts all fo us at risk. I honestly don't know the answer to insisting that certain people have the vaccine or insist on proof of vaccination to use certain facilities. What I do know is that if my late mum was still with us and needed care or a care home, then I'd be off the fence pretty damn quick.

Businesses can choose who to serve based on whether they've been vaccinated or not. An example that comes to mind is a B&B: if a couple of unvaccinated black homosexuals want to stay over, they'll be able to be turned away on the basis that they haven't been vaccinated. Likewise, a cake shop can refuse to bake for an unvaccinated couple wanting a gay wedding celebration cake.

The question is whether the government adds vaccination to the list of protected statuses, like gender, race, religion, sexuality and disability. If they don't, businesses can choose to do what they want.

They really don't know. In any case, the virus won't know between medically exempt or an anti-vaxxer. The risk is the same.

I think realistically, it will have to be each to their own risk, in the end. A passport won't help, if it can't differentiate between "can't" and "don't want to".
