Free everything, 4% rise for NHS staff, double child benefit, an interim monkey to families. It's like a magic money orchard up there!

Scotland only has one destiny. It isn't a viably economic entity so will always rely on subsidies (English or EU) unless they learn to live without all the freebies.

Anne sorry I've not got time no and we have both been here far too long to wade through all our answers to check. I doubt I actually wrote that you said you hate the English in those words but somehow I know you do, maybe Tilly does too but I've no idea. Do you seriously think if a poll asked does anne like the English everyone would say yes apart from 2 of us? I have gathered that from reading many of your posts you have a strong dislike and disdain for anything done over the border, why would I have got that impression? I'm not sure why you're keen to deny it. Everyone is entitled to their opinion.
Opinions..... absolutely....... lies........ no really .
Used, it's like a last orders scene from Midsomer Murders on here some days.

Little Englanders spitting cliches over and over again.

Call Inspector Barnaby to apply his cool head to the case and put the zoomers in the cells to sober up.
I quite like being called a Little Englander Doogie, it conjures up little thatched cottages and green fields full of flowers
Arhhhhh, :0)
We seem to be veering off-topic. The question is how are these policies to be funded when English subsidies are withdrawn. So far no-one has answered that.
I did, JD.

It doesn't matter how the policies are funded once Scotland is independent because, once Scotland is independent, that's the SNP's work done. The clue is in the name.

Spending money they don't have is actually helpful to the cause, because it creates divisions like you are seeing on this thread. Almost the more money they spend that they don't have, the better. It makes them more popular in Scotland, and less popular in England. It's a brilliant policy.

Once they are independent, then they can worry about how to deal with the debt. But it won't be Nicola's problem. She can retire to the sunlit Highlands.

anne: "I have never said I was a SNP, what I want is the best for the Scottish people. I see no other political party in Scotland puting Scotland first." - well the SNP aren't putting Scotland first, they have you in penury.
"I have no intention in posting on a racist post as this. " - err how is it racist? are Scotts now a different race?
"I’m just astounded where alll you people got your political knowledge about Scotland from."
- It's all available through public sources
"Sadly your hatred of a country and it’s people shines bright on AB , almost on a daily basis and is always tolerated. Carry on folks. Have a nice day . " - hatred? I think it is the Scotts who have the hatred, we have something more akin to pity.
I blame it all on Netflix's 'Outlander' & what that English swine Randall did to poor Jamie, now we're all paying the price:
One factor that helps a wee bit but as not been mentioned so far is that Scotland has a higher rate of income tax for higher earners and stamp duty/land tax is higher. It helps but cant pay for more than one of those things
for a country of 5 1/2 million souls, they sure have produced a lot of noise for Independence.
If Scotland does go its own way,how many jobs that are dependent on the armed forces being there will be lost when the bases close and the assets relocate back to the uk.I realise that Scotland will probably want some kind of defence force of its own but i doubt they would be able to afford much.I am thinking of all the secondary jobs associated with the establishments, like cafes, maintenance contracts etc etc.
so what do Scotland do about this, move elsewhere perhaps....

Her Majesty's Naval Base, Clyde, primarily sited at Faslane on the Gare Loch, is one of three operating bases in the United Kingdom for the Royal Navy. It is the navy's headquarters in Scotland and is best known as the home of Britain's nuclear weapons, in the form of nuclear submarines armed with Trident missiles.
I think the SNP want Scotland to be a non-nuclear country. Sod the jobs - at least we won't be a target!
if a nuclear warhead hit Scotland then its curtains for all of us surely
I'm sure the radiation will stop at Hadrian's wall.
ofr course why didn't i think of that..........
Hadrian's Wall again...
Better than the Magic Scottish Money Making Unicorn of Disillusion tho, Jim.
She will milk us and run.
