I can understand that but I doubt it will apply to the Queen. I imagine his care and welfare, whilst of concern to her, did not present her with the sort of problems that may be visited on most people.

Because she has often said that her husband was her rock and provided wisdom and guidance to her. Add to that the fact that the Queen herself will be 95 in a couple of weeks' time and she may find life increasingly difficult. No, she didn't need Philip to get the coal in or mow the grass, but he was her husband for 74 years and whatever lifestyle they led, she will, I'm sure, sorely miss him.
