I heard something mentioned about Mr Cummings saying that he was sad / upset / appalled, whatever it was, about how low standards have sunk in government since he departed as one of its advisors.
Given his flagrant breaking of Covid rules, and then his frankly insultingly ludicrous explanation for driving, I think that could be described as somewhat rich, coming from him.
As far as i can see, Mr Cummings' notion of integrity consists of doing exactly as he pleases, legal or not, and then laughing at everyone else by patronising them with fantasies that would shame a hippy on a bad acid trip.
If he really thinks he is entitled even to stand within a mile of the moral high ground, much less think he can occupy it, then he is even more delusional than previously indicated - difficult though that must be.
