Whether the officer's death was directly linked to the riots or not, this doesn't exonerate Trump from being the catalyst that caused the riots. Should CNN be covering the story? Yes, they absolutely should be, and should be ashamed for covering it up. Their fake earnestness is as bad as Fox's pomposity. Neither should be considered creditable news sources.

The Americans still have a legal doctrine of constructive manslaughter ( and murder) - the people were in the capitol with criminal intent and this intent can be transferred to criminal act which lack the necessary intent
