They're probably just professional agitators rather that protesting about anything in particular. However, if I was part of the protest, I would be protesting that 8,000 mainly unmasked people can go to a football match and hug and shout (plenty of pictures available) whereas only 30 people can attend a funeral service and have to sit six feet apart (also...

More than that police chiefs were negligent in that they allowed the event to be policed by officers with no riot gear. They did this, it seems, as they did not want them to appear "confrontational." That seemed to work well.

The Police, due to their own actions, have totally lost the respect of the public and in particular these 'professional' agitators.
And given Johnson's continual lies, U-turns and collapsing of the economy for many I'm surprised there is not more violence as in other countries.

There are always a few 'thugs' who break out and attach to any demo.. The vast majority of these marchers were well-behaved as far as I can see. It certainly shows the strength of feeling against vaccine certification - and I'm pleased about that because it has been swept under the carpet. A shame that the appalling behaviour of the very few have grabbed the headlines.
