christ Jim - light day in Crow-assie?
thanks anyway
this doesnt run in England as we didnt have slavery ( somersett's case - the air of england is too pure for a slave to breath - held no slavery at common law - Mansfield 1764 - christ he is getting good exposure tonight innit?)
There was a law of return in Darzet - aaargh - but the only problem is that no one here knows what THAT is - and there doesnt seem to be a recorded case.

Thanks, Jim (apologies, working...). He isn't right that people should be "colour-blind"- in that, it doesn't work. I've only learnt from AB over the last few years, that I was wrong, you "should" take notice of what colour people are, in order to say the right things. It seems entirely unnatural, and always seemed a backwards step to me- but I have learnt to be far more aware of colour from here, than real life requires.
Also, whether anyone of any colour is inherently racist, is impossible to tell. It's largely subconscious, so to deny it for an entire group of people, seems dishonest.

YMB - // Good God AH, did a large bill just land on your doorstep? You sure do seem very grumpy. //
Almost never grumpy.
However, simply sticking a link of some peed off parent in the US sounding off about freedom of speech, with no question to start a debate, seems somewhat pointless, as I pointed out.
If Khandro wants to start a debate, fine, but start it, don't simply stick a link up and let everyone try and figure out what you think about it.

Is there such a thing as 'freedom of gesture'?
Are the English team guilty of some gesture which is designed to cause harm or fear in others?
Be careful how you reply to my second point - you might appear a bit snowflakish if you feel threatened by 'our lads'.
Freedom of speech applies to people you don't agree with, as well as your own tribe.

Khandro - As you patronisingly point out, 'even I' can deduce your view from your award of BA.
But I have no way of knowing when you made your choice, but for the sake of argument, let's assume you were so enamored with it, you selected it on site.
That's still getting on for two hours after your OP went up - how am I supposed to deduce your view between those times? Mind reading? My skills are many, bit 'even I' can't do that, so I have to wait for an indication from you, since you neglected to offer one in your OP in the first place.
