I think it’s meant to encourage young people to have the vaccine, and I can understand the two month warning - that gives time for people to get both jabs. However, I don’t agree with restricting entrance to clubs only to those who have been vaccinated. People who have been vaccinated can still carry the virus and contract it, but their symptoms are more likely to be negligible or pretty much non-existent so the risk the unvaccinated pose is mainly to themselves.

Yes in fairness it’s not really Johnson’s fault about the two month delay
I guess what’s odd is: there’ll be two months where there are no restrictions and then …
I find it hard to sympathise with the nightclub owners here. I realise they’ve had it tough but if people do the right thing and get vacced up …
The doubt I have about this is whether anyone can be trusted to enforce it properly

Restricting social necessities like transport is a whole different issue. And how would you enforce it anyway

Vacca say 1000 or 10 000, swab every day thereafter and then say Jesus x per cent carry for y days and conclude - - oh they do but it is very small compared to non vacca

you could EVEN cost it - - vacca as a sunk cost ( nil to you and me) then swab £10 ea, for how long - say a month? £3000 per person
say only 2% carry for ten days - so twenty carriers identified at a cost of christ ... is that £30m - half a million per case identified

As others have said, this is obviously to encourage the young to get jabbed / double jabbed. I wouldn't call it coercion. The number of under 30s who I've heard getting positive tests in the last two weeks is almost in double figures.
