Toomy Whatsisname...
Sorry I haven't got a link. I heard on the radio and BBC telly that TR has been judged on the wrong side in a court case against him for falsely accusing a teenager (who was filmed being beaten by school 'chums') of attacking young women, and that he has to pay £100,000 penalty, plus legal costs. I'm surprised that TUS haven't been on here defending him. He seems to be pleading bankruptcy and saying that he's had a bad year. Are there many here who feel sorry for him?

That's not belittling what he's done to help bring those animals to justice, it's just a thought.

Tommy Robinson hasn’t done anything to bring grooming gangs to justice. His MO is to latch onto a case once the offenders have been investigated, charged and are on trial. He then stalks the court building filming as part of his money earning amateur ‘journalism’.

Gromit, I've no real intention of defending him, but the one thing he has done is bring these gangs to the public attention. Of course, you are right that in his determination to harass and publicly shame outside the law courts, he has at times harmed the judicial process. It's almost as if adding to his own infamy is more important to him than getting wrongdoers locked up.
Mozz 16.50. Sorry, my mistake. I misread your previous post.
If these were gangs of non-Muslim I don’t believe Tommy Robinson would have pursued them - but then the police and the authorities would have so weveoukd be looking at an entirely different scenario. It’s all much more complex than it appears, not least the Muslim gangs’ reasons for doing what they do - and to my mind that’s the major influence on Tommy Robinson’s reaction.

I perceive the gangs' reasons for doing what they do to be nothing whatsoever to do with them being nominally Muslim - do you see something different?

I have to agree with Andy, the gangs aren't grooming and abusing girls because they're Muslim, they're animals because of their crimes, not because of their religion.
Their crimes are a parallel to those with have been unearthed caused by members of the Catholic Church. The religion wasn't to blame, the individuals were.
