davebro it won't come in the queen's lifetime - but maybe not long after that. Kng Charles and Queen Camilla are never going to be remotely as popular. The Commonwealth aren't much interested in them either.

dannyk, he's been making charm-assault tours of the colonies for some years now. Most have decided to remain aboard, but out of inertia more than anything else. They could ditch him any time they want, though, unlike Britain.

The queen is seen in the same light there as here: a direct survivor of the war who earned much respect. Charles means nothing much to any of them. Is anyone really looking forward to the coronation of an 80-year-old organic farmer?
